Degree Requirements
The B.S. in Biomedical Physics is an interdisciplinary program developed to provide students pursuing careers in Medical Physics and Health Physics the necessary background in Physics, Mathematics, and Biology.
Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Physics Requirements. Those seeking admission to the B.S. in Biomedical Physics major must adhere to university admissions requirements, including submission of applications, official transcripts, and appropriate standardized test scores.

Other Degree Requirements
In addition to the major program requirements, every student must also complete the University’s baccalaureate degree requirements such as:
- American Government and Institutions (PLSI 2 )
- General Education Requirements (48 units)
- Multicultural and International (MI)
- Upper-division Writing
- Sufficient Elective Units to Meet Required Total Units (varies); it is recommended that units in this area be utilized to complete a second major or minor.

Total Units: 120 Units*
*General Education, MI, and Upper-division Writing courses can be double counted with major requirements. These courses included CHEM 1A and CHEM 1AL (Area B1), BIOL 1A (Area B2),and MATH 75 (Area B4). See advisor for details.
Advising Note
CR/NC grading is not permitted in the Biomedical Physics major. Additional requirements, however, may be taken for CR/NC (see Credit/No Credit Grading).
