Prerequisite: Math Category I or II, MATH 3L, MATH 5, or MATH 6 with a C grade or better.
Prerequisite or Corequisite: CHEM 1AL

Fundamental principles of chemistry such as chemical bonding and structure, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, oxidation-reductions, and states of matter. GE Breadth B1 with CHEM 1AL. CHEM 1A and CHEM 1AL must be taken together the first time of enrollment.
