Origin, classification, textures, fossils, and structures of sedimentary rocks; exploration of the significance of sedimentary geology in society and interactions among Earth’s systems. Required field component for field stratigraphy and sedimentology; required service-learning component involving 15+ hours of work with a community-based organization.
