MATH 11 - Elementary Statistics

GE Area/Graduation Requirement: GE Foundation B4

Prerequisite: Mathematics placement category I or II; students in Mathematics placement category III or IV must take MATH 11L.
Illustration of statistical concepts: elementary probability models, sampling, descriptive measures, confidence intervals, testing hypotheses, chi-square, nonparametric methods, regression. It is recommended that students with credit in MATH 75 or MATH 75A and MATH 75B take MATH 101.
