The Department of Recreation Administration

The Minor in Special Event Planning is designed to prepare students to plan large community events such as street fairs, community festivals, convention center events, major fund-raising events, corporate events, and joint sponsorship events.

Note: The Minor in Special Event Planning requires a 2.0 GPA and 6 upper-division units in residence. RA 182I may be taken after the required courses are completed.
