MUSIC 182 - Basic Arranging

Prerequisite: MUSIC 1B, MUSIC 42
Basic course in scoring and arranging for band, orchestra and choral ensembles. Ranges, transposition, technical capabilities of band and orchestra instruments and the voice. Emphasis on arranging for musicians typically found in elementary and secondary schools. Use of computer notation and sequencing programs.
