MATH 122 - Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing II


Prerequisite: MATH 81 ; CSCI 40  or ECE 71  all with a C grade or better. Recommended: MATH 120  
Direct and iterative methods for linear systems. Eigenvalue and eigenvector approximations. Numerical methods for nonlinear systems, IVPs, and BVPs. Introduction to finite difference methods (FDM) for PDEs. Focus on computational implementation and numerical stability.
