CSDS 221 - Dysphagia and Acquired Cognitive-Communication Disorders


Prerequisite: CSDS 220  
Explores the nature and characteristics as well as the methods of evaluation and management of feeding, swallowing, and acquired cognitive-linguistic problems. Topics surround specialized populations (e.g., head-and-neck cancer, tracheostomy and ventilation, pediatrics, geriatrics). Provides hands-on training on evidence-based assessment and intervention of dysphagia and cognitive-linguistic impairment.
