NURS 245 - Management of Common Psychiatric Conditions in Primary Care

Prerequisite: acceptance to PMHNP Advanced Certificate of Study Program or by permission of instructor
Corequisite: NURS 243  and NURS 244  
Assessment, diagnosis and management of common mental health disorders across the lifespan. Analysis of clinical strategies and interventions in health promotion and maintenance and prevention of common psychiatric problems. Role of PMHNP in community mental health. 108 precepted clinical hours. Weekly one hour clinical conference.
