NURS 243 - Management of Psychiatric Disorders and Mental Health Across the Life Span

Prerequisite: acceptance to PMHNP Advanced Certificate of Study Program or by permission of instructor
Theories and models of psychiatric disorders and mental health problems. Symptoms, causes, and management of common mental disorders seen across the life span such as eating disorders, anxiety, substance abuse, and depression.  Ethical issues. Focus is on the patient as an individual.
