Transportation and Environmental Sustainability Certificate Objectives
The Transportation and Environmental Sustainability a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from federal and state regulations on air pollution from transportation, policies, and regulations for environmental sustainability, evaluation of environmental factors for sustainable planning, climate change actions, the environmental impact of transportation emitted air pollutants on human health and climate, epidemiological risk assessment, and economic decision making for sustainable environment.

Transportation and Environmental Sustainability Certificate Requirements
The certificate requires 13 units total, of which 6 units are technical electives. Technical Electives (6 units)
Choose six (6) units from the following technical electives (can be double-counted): Certificate Advising Notes
- Prerequisites can be waived upon the approval of the course instructor.
- All courses counting toward the Certificate must be taken on a letter-grade basis and must be completed with a grade of C or higher. The Transportation Studies Certificate requires a 2.25 GPA.
- Students are advised to seek their advisor’s input upon course selections.
- The Civil Engineering Program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
