Transportation Engineering and Technology Certificate Objectives

The Certificate is an interdisciplinary program of transportation studies, from basic vehicle systems to self-driving cars and alternative fuel vehicles, and transportation including airport planning and design to traffic operations and control.

 

Transportation Engineering and Technology Certificate Requirements


The certificate requires 13 units total, of which 9 units are technical electives.

Choose nine (9)  units from the following technical electives (6 units can be double-counted):

Certificate Advising Notes


  • Prerequisites can be waived upon the approval of the course instructor.
  • All courses counting toward the certificate must be taken on a letter-grade basis and must be completed with a grade of C or higher. The Transportation Studies Certificate requires a 2.25 GPA.
  • Students are advised to seek their advisor’s input upon course selections.
  • The Civil Engineering Program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
