Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Certificate of Special Study

The Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is designed for students interested in a broad range of advanced topics in AI and its sub-areas. The certificate focuses on preparing students for the AI workforce upon graduation. The skills and knowledge acquired through the composite courses will better prepare students for the technical and scientific aspects of AI.

CSCI 164 - Artificial Intelligence Programming Units: 3
CSCI 165 - Bio-inspired Machine Learning Units: 3
CSCI 166 - Principles of Artificial Intelligence Units: 3
CSCI 167 - Introduction to Deep Learning Units: 3

Optional Course (3 units)

The below course can be taken for up to 3 units earned towards the certificate.

CSCI 198 - Project Units: 3 *
*For students who select CSCI 198, the topics must be relevant to AI or its sub-areas. The enrollment of CSCI 198 requires prior approval from the Department.
