This minor covers a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from fundamental vehicle systems to advanced concepts such as self-driving cars and alternative fuel vehicles. Additionally, it delves into various aspects of transportation infrastructure, including airport planning and design, as well as traffic operations and control.

Transportation Engineering and Technology Requirements
The minor requires 22 units total, of which 12 are technical electives. Technical Electives (12 units)
Choose twelve (12) units from the following technical electives (6 units can be double-counted): Minor Advising Notes
- Prerequisites can be waived upon the approval of the course instructor.
- All courses counting toward the minor must be taken on a letter-grade basis and must be completed with a grade of C or higher. The Transportation Studies Minor requires a 2.25 GPA.
- Students are advised to seek their advisor’s input upon course selections.
- The Civil Engineering Program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
