Mathematics Minor Requirements

The minor requires 20 units in mathematics

MATH 75 - Calculus I Units: 4
OR
MATH 75B - Calculus with Review IB Units: 4
Or above, excluding:
MATH 75A - Calculus with Review IA Units: 4
MATH 100 - Exploring Mathematics Units: 3
MATH 133 - Number Theory for Liberal Studies Units: 3
MATH 134 - Geometry for Liberal Studies Units: 3
MATH 137 - Exploring Statistics Units: 3
MATH 138 - Exploring Algebra Units: 3
MATH 139 - Advanced Algebra for Middle School Teachers Units: 4
MATH 149S - Capstone Mathematics for Teachers Units: 4

Minor Advising Notes

Students cannot receive credit for both MATH 101 and MATH 102 towards the Mathematics Minor.
All courses in the Mathematics Minor must be taken for a letter grade. CR/NC grading is not acceptable
The Mathematics Minor also requires a 2.0 GPA and 6 upper-division units in residence.
