The Department of Child and Family Science  

Policies and Procedures for Admission. Applicants must meet all criteria for admission to the university and to the major. Admission to the program is a two-step process: (1) admission to the university and then (2) admission to Child and Family Science major. All prerequisites must be completed prior to application to the major.

All students who have been admitted to Fresno State, but have not yet been admitted to the major, will be admitted to the university as “pre-child and family science” students.  Admission to the university does not guarantee admission to the Child and Family Science program.
