English Literature Minor Requirements

Students in many fields realize the crucial need to read, write, and engage diverse communities critically, creatively, and effectively. The English Literature Minor offers experience in those abilities through the study of profound, socially engaged, finely crafted literature. The Minor requires 15-16 units of classes in Literature or literary studies. At least 8 units of this coursework must be upper division and taken in residence.

Notes: The English Literature Minor also requires a 2.0 GPA and 8 upper-division units in residence. Courses taken as CR/NC may not apply to the Minor. Prerequisites for courses may be waived with permission of the English Major advisor and specific course instructor.
