Admission Requirements. In addition to the admission requirements listed in the Graduate Education Program section of this catalog, Reading and Literacy Added Authorization program applicants must possess a basic teaching credential.

Program Requirements (15 units)

Under the direction of the Reading Program Coordinator, each student prepares and submits an individually designed program within the following framework:

LEE 213 - Teaching the Language Arts K-12 Units: 3
LEE 215 - Language Issues in Reading Units: 3
LEE 224 - Assessment and Development of Reading Abilities Units: 3
LEE 230 - Supervised Teaching in Reading/Language Arts Units: 3
LEE 278 - Literacy Processes and Practices Units: 3
