Pre-Business, B.S.

Pre-Business Requirements

All business students entering California State University, Fresno are considered pre-business majors and are coded as such. In order to select an option in business and enroll in 100-level business courses, pre-business students must do the following:

1. Complete IS 52 and IS 52L or equivalent course(s) with a grade of C or better or achieve a passing score on the CSB computer competency waiver examination. Contact CSB Student Support for more information at csbstusupport@mail.fresnostate.edu.
2. Complete the following courses or their equivalents with a grade of C or better in each course: ACCT 4A, ACCT 4B, BA 18, DS 71, DS 73, ECON 40 (or AGBS 1) and ECON 50.
3. Have a cumulative and campus grade point average of at least 2.25.
4. Submit a request to declare an option in business. Students may obtain this request form from the Craig School of Business Undergraduate Student Services Office, Peters Building, Room 185, or apply online at www.craig.fresnostate.edu/uss_home.aspx.
5. CSB 150 may be substituted for CSB 50 for catalog years prior to 2005-2006.
