Major Requirements (65-66 units)
The following core program courses are required of all candidates for this degree. Additional required courses dependent upon the selected emphasis area. Core Courses (27 units)

- RA 80 - Lifelong Learning in the Natural Environment Units: 3
- RA 101 - Leisure and Human Behavior Units: 3
- RA 125 - Diversity and Inclusive Practices in Recreation Therapy and Recreation Units: 3
- RA 128 - Legal and Financial Aspects of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Units: 4
- RA 179 - Supervision and Administration in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Units: 3
- RA 180 - Professional Placement in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Units: 1

Other Degree Requirements
In addition to the major program requirements, every student must also complete the University’s baccalaureate degree requirements such as: - American Government and Institutions (PLSI 2 )
- General Education Requirements (48 units)
- Multicultural and International (MI)
- Upper-division Writing
- Sufficient Elective Units to Meet Required Total Units (varies); it is recommended that units in this area be utilized to complete a second major or minor.

- CR/NC grading is not permitted in the recreation administration major with the exceptions of REC 74 , REC 75 , REC 82 , REC 83 , REC 84 , REC 86 , REC 87 , REC 88 ; RA 115 , and RA 192T .
- General Education and elective units may be used toward a minor (see departmental minor below). Consult the appropriate department chair, program coordinator, or faculty advisor for further information.
- Students are advised to take HHS 116W to fulfill the Upper-Division Writing Skills requirement.
- All Recreation Administration courses used in the major must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
