The department provides the foundation for graduates in early childhood, special education, bilingual instruction, reading, and teacher education. Our goal is to provide a foundation for our students to become leaders in education and highly skilled professionals. Our faculty are committed to providing quality instruction for you to become a leader at your site and in education as a whole.

Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Program:
The Elementary School Teaching Credential (Multiple Subject Credential)  is housed in both the Department of Curriculum and Instruction  (C&I) and the Department of Literacy, Early, Bilingual, and Special Education (LEBSE). 

Single Subject Teaching Credential Program:
The Single Subject Teaching Credential Program is housed in both the Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) and Department of Literacy, Early, Bilingual, and Special Education (LEBSE).
