AIS 186 - Tribal Administration
(PLSI 186 same as AIS 186) Examines the administration and institutional capacity of Native American tribal governments. Topics include economic development, intergovernmental relations (where tribes and reservations fit within federal, state, and local governments), constitutions, environmental regulation, cultural and linguistic preservation and revitalization, self-determination, sovereignty, acknowledgment and recognition, and citizenship. This course is an elective for the Political Science major, and can be counted for the Public Administration and American Indian Studies minors. (Formerly PLSI 188T)
