LING 271 - Graduate Practicum in TESOL

Prerequisite: LING 235 and LING 244 with a C grade or better
This course provides supervised teaching experience in an ESL classroom. Students engage in classroom observations, small-group instruction, lesson planning, materials development, and language teaching under the guidance of a mentor instructor. Emphasis is placed on the integration of pedagogical theory and classroom practice to develop the professional skills necessary for effective language instruction and a career in TESOL.
