LS 153 - Peaceful Problem-Solving in P-12 Classroom
This course provides an overview of the principles and practices of conflict management and mediation, emphasizing their historical and contemporary applications in P-12 classroom settings. Students will explore theories of social development, prosocial behavior, and practical mediation techniques while partnering with local schools or community organizations to apply their skills. Texts and approaches are interdisciplinary and align with the Liberal Studies Program’s mission of preparing students for equity-focused and socially just elementary teaching.
