LING 121 - Hmong Language, Culture, and Identity




Prerequisite: GE Foundation and Breadth D
Studies Hmong language and culture in their various multicultural environments in Asia (China, Southeast Asia) and in the Diaspora (Americas, Europe, Australia). The course takes a comparative approach, examining the various Hmong communities worldwide with the purpose of better understanding the formation of the modern Hmong identity.
