ENGL 147 - English Renaissance Literature



Corequisite: ENGL 105  
Analysis of texts, 1500-1660. Topics may include Renaissance humanism, Reformation, Counter-Reformation, New World exploration, conflicting political and social cultures of court and city, the rise of print, the advent of English theater, and the development of vernacular literary forms.
