AFRS 143 - Blacks and Jews in America: Identities, Activism and Cultures GE Area/Graduation Requirement: Multicultural/International
Prerequisite: GE Foundation with a C grade or better and Breadth Area D (JS 143 same as AFRS 143) The history of Americans who are both Black and Jewish and the relationships of Black and Jewish communities in the United States. Course explores intersectional identities and cross-cultural dynamics with a focus on community engagement, racism and antisemitism, political and civil rights activism, and the arts and popular culture.
