CSCI 178 - Game Development Prerequisite: CSCI 115 , and CSCI 172 or permission of instructor The aim of this course is to familiarize students with programing and development of game engine concepts including rendering, 2D graphics, shaders, animation, state machines, object management, sound input pseudorandom number generators, rule-based Al, scripted level generation, time-based coding, event driven coding, and debuggers. This course is being taught using code for a simple billboard 2D game with constrained camera motion. (Formerly CSCI 191T)
