ASAM 143 - Asian American Literature

GE Area/Graduation Requirement: GE Breadth F

Prerequisite: ENGL 5A  and ENGL 5B  or equivalent, and ENGL 20 
This course provides a general overview of Asian American writers within U.S. culture and politics. It explores how Asian American writers negotiate a myriad of identity formations that rebut many mainstream racialized depictions and how their writing resists restrictive legal contexts.
