ANTH 117 - Anthropology of Health, Illness, and Healing

A cross-cultural examination of health practices and cultural assumptions on which they are based. Reviews ethnomedicine, ethnopsychiatry, and epidemiology in the health care systems of diverse cultures and of ethnic communities in pluralistic societies such as the United States.
