AIS 105W - American Indian Oral Traditions and Literatures


Prerequisite: GE Foundation A2 with a C grade or better.
Provides advanced training in academic and professional writing in three genres of American Indian Studies. Offers an interdisciplinary and comparative exploration of the diverse oral traditions and writing cultures in American Indian Studies and engages students in advanced meditations on writing in the American Indian Studies genres: 1) History and Law; 2) Literary Analysis; 3) Policy Proposal development. Students will produce a “Writing Portfolio”.
