CE 234 - Theory of Plates and Shells

Prerequisite: graduate standing in engineering or permission of instructor
Methods of calculating stresses and deformations in plates and shells used in engineering structures. Bending of circular and rectangular plates under various conditions. Membrane and flexural analysis of shells of revolution.
