CE 250 - Transportation System Design

Prerequisite: CE 150 or permission of instructor
This course covers state-of-practice theories and models of travel demand; particularly, 4-step model. Topics include understanding, modeling and simulation of travel behavior; and evaluation of transportation system designs. Extensive hands-on activities offering students advanced knowledge, skills and experiences working with different state-of-the-art data sources (ex. NHTS), mathematical models, and computer software (Access, R, and VISUM).
