ENGL 142 - American Indian Masterpieces of American Literature

Prerequisite: ENGL 105  (C or better)
Corequisite: ENGL 105  - English majors only
This course provides a general overview of American Indian writers within U.S. culture and politics. We will read fiction, poetry, non-fiction prose, creative non-fiction, and genre/popular fiction dealing with topics as related to American Indian lives. (Formerly ENGL 193T.)
