ENGL 143 - Asian American Masterpieces of American Literature

Prerequisite: ENGL 105  (C or better)
Prerequisite or Corequisite: ENGL 105  - English majors only

This course provides a general overview of Asian American writers within U.S. culture and politics. It explores how Asian American writers negotiate a myriad of identity formations that rebut many mainstream racialized depictions and how their writing resists restrictive legal contexts. (Formerly ENGL 169T.)
